The project "GardenGate Commercial - Service - Office & Apartment Area", located at 08 Hoang Minh Giam Street, Ward 9, Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City. It is an office, commercial and apartment building including 02 basements and 22 storeys above ground. Basement is used for parking and technical rooms. From the ground floor to the 22nd floor is the commercial area, office, apartments and a roof top.
The foundation system used for the project is a bored pile foundation with different diameters of 800mm and 1200mm, depending on the specific locations. Tie beams are provided in two directions to keep balance and stability for single pile caps and at the same time minimize the differential settlement between raft foundations.
The whole system of basement works is poured in place. The structure form for basement floors is a traditional reinforced concrete beam slab system consisting of 300mm thick slab with tie beams are arranged in two directions.
Basement 2 slab is designed to withstand the uplift. Structure of basement 1 is reinforced concrete flat slab with column heads. Column head thickness of 500mm, including floor thickness of 250mm.
Along the perimeter, 600mm thick reinforced concrete diaphragm wall is provided as a partition between the basement and the outer soil layer and at the same time to prevent water infiltration into the basement.
The primary beams of Level 1, 2, and 3 are arranged passing through the columns in both directions. For large floor panels, the secondary beams are arranged to reduce deflection of the floor slabs. Beam system with cross section (width x height) 600x550mm, 400x550mm and 300x550mm. Floor thickness is 200mm.
From the 4th floor upwards, the post-tensioning slab is 210mm thick, the perimeter beams have the cross section (width x height) 500x500mm, 400x500mm and 300x500mm.
